General Info
Group Pay allows the ability to have multiple people contributing to one hosting bill. Some other hosting providers offer this under the name of Clan Pay. It is a good way to let each payer know that the money they are sending is actually going to the hosting bill.
This module runs on the back of your configured PayPal gateway. All customer deposits are added to the clients account as credit. The client does not see who has made the deposit, this information is however available to Admins via the credit log in WHMCS.
This add-on comes with fully configurable templates that act the same way as the existing WHMCS templates.
A full user manual is provided with the system that explains how to customise the template.
Is My Users Data Safe?
Each user is generated a 1 way hash that they can provide to people to make payments with. This code is exposed and un-encoded so that you can, if you wish, implement you own hashing algorithm. The current code uses a salted md5 so that each user's ID will be individual not only to your WHMCS install but also to 2 different WHMCS installs. This reduces the risk of a brute force data mining attack.
Requirements
Group Pay will run on all systems that run WHMCS.
It requires the latest version of WHMCS (currently 3.8.2) and also the ionCube loader. Most people will already have the loader installed a as WHMCS core requires this as well.
